Born in Hong Kong in 1991 to Vietnamese parents who encouraged academic excellence I entered the world of Fashion a bit skeptical mixed with a need to prove I could do my own thing. Developing my own view with clear opinions. I moved to the Netherlands when I was 2 months old. My bi-cultural upbringing is one aspect of my signature east-meets-west style.
Appreciating the values and beauty of craftsmanship combined with a fascination for (short-lived) avant-garde trends is one of the most practical examples of the ‘in between’-life I live.
The strive for perfection in sharp tailoring, humor, sensual feminine silhouettes and textiles and extreme volumes immediately capture my attention.
I started this fashion, art and culture blog as a reaction against the stereotypical prejudices on fashion dolls and try focusing on the true aesthetics in life.
Not every fashion addict is a slave to brands.
Not every fashion professional is the devil in Prada’s.
Not every minute is spent wasted by shopping.
Not every fashion student is just another fashion doll.
